Descripción general de la prueba de aceptación de fábrica en el Reino Unido
Our Darwen, UK site recently hosted a factory acceptance test for our 6-inch tubular drag conveyor. The test was conducted in collaboration with our sister company, Spiroflow, where bulk bags were unloaded using the T6 bulk bag discharger.
Secure material handling with Cablevey and Spiroflow Systems
The bulk bags contained powdered material and were unloaded using Spiroflow’s Type 6 bulk bag discharger, which features an integral hoist for placing and replacing the bags. The material was then conveyed by a 6” HVH Cablevey conveyor. Throughout the handling process, the material is securely transported using a cable and disc assembly from floor level to decanting above a series of weigh hoppers. This setup ensures the material is protected from external contamination, while nearby operators are not exposed to it. The pneumatically controlled discharge chutes are managed via an HMI (Human Machine Interface) panel, providing our clients with control over the system without compromising product integrity or safety.
Factory acceptance test at UK facility enables customer adjustments
This was the first factory acceptance test at our Darwen, UK facility, which will support Spiroflow, Cablevey, Kason, and Marion, all part of the AHS-AMP group. The factory acceptance test provided our customers with the opportunity to make any necessary adjustments, ensuring the conveyors are ready for installation.

What is a tubular drag conveyor and how does it work?
A tubular drag conveyor is a system designed to transport bulk materials securely and efficiently using a cable and disc assembly within a tube. This method minimizes contamination and protects the material during handling.
What are the benefits of using Cablevey conveyors for material handling?
Cablevey conveyors offer several advantages, including reduced risk of contamination, gentle handling of materials, and customizable configurations to fit various operational needs.
How does the factory acceptance test ensure the quality of conveyor systems?
The factory acceptance test allows customers to evaluate the conveyor system’s performance, make necessary adjustments, and ensure it meets their specific requirements before installation.
What types of materials can be handled by Cablevey conveyors?
Cablevey conveyors are versatile and can handle a wide range of materials, including powders, granules, and fragile products, making them suitable for various industries.
Is a bulk bag unloader the same as a bulk bag discharger?
Yes, a bulk bag unloader and a bulk bag discharger refer to the same type of equipment. Both terms are used to describe machinery designed to safely and efficiently empty or “discharge” materials from bulk bags. These systems are essential for industries handling dry bulk solids, enabling easy and controlled material transfer from bulk bags to downstream processes.
Cablevey’s sister company, Spiroflow, specializes in innovative bulk bag discharging solutions. Spiroflow offers a range of bulk bag dischargers that can be customized to meet specific operational needs, from standard unloading to handling challenging materials or environments.
